Since September 2004, Audemars Piguet has been sponsoring the Trofeo Maserati Europa and is the official partner of MC12 cars taking part in GT competitions. The ties between the two companies, based on shared values and on the constant pursuit of excellence, have been reinforced over the months, giving rise to a watch embodying this union: the Dualtime Millenary Maserati. Imbued with a blend of modernity and classicism, this exceptional timepiece is inspired by the Maserati design and spirit. Issued in a limited series, it celebrates the 90th anniversary of the prestigious Italian carmaker.

The "L.U.C LUNAR ONE" watch is equipped with the mechanical self-winding "L.U.C 96 QP" movement, chronometer-certified by the COSC and carrying the "Poinçon de Genève" quality hallmark. It has a power-reserve of approximately 70 hours. Endowed with a perpetual calendar, its dial displays the date (through a double large date window at 12 o'clock), the day of the week, the leap year and a 24-hour indication.

The moon phases are represented in an extremely precise and original way. They rotate around the axis of the small seconds display, hence the term "orbital".
The accuracy of this indication is such that the difference amounts to a mere 57.2 seconds per lunar cycle, corresponding to 1 day in 122 years! Only the most renowned watch Manufactures offer such sophisticated complications.
The movement, comprising 354 parts, is protected by a luxurious case crafted with the greatest care by our specialists and water-resistant to 30 metres. A glare-resistant sapphire ensures perfect readability of the dial. Hand-sewn alligator leather strap with folding clasp, available in black or brown.
Two limited numbered series of 250 each, one in 18-carat rose gold and the other in 950 platinum, will be available with a choice of two dial versions as of September 2005.
